Holy City Hosts Birthday Celebration July 22

Holy City Brewing will be celebrating its sixth birthday in style on July 22nd. Luau style. For all the details, see below:

CHARLESTON, SC (July 17th, 2017)

Holy City Brewing turns six years old on Saturday, July 22nd, and we’re having a commemorative party to celebrate with all of the people that have taken care of us and allowed us to keep brewing beer this whole time. The party will be luau-themed, so grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts and straw hats are encouraged!

The Holy City Beard and Moustache Society will have a dunk tank there, with all proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters, so people on the chopping block will be these beautiful hairy dudes and all of the Holy City employees. We’ll also have a Mechanical Shark (Think Mechanical Bull, but more luau-appropriate) for all to ride. Our beer list will feature over twenty-five Holy City brews, and we will have the main bar operating as well as a satellite bar on the patio, and our rare beers will be featured on our tap wall in the canning room, which we refer to as the “Aqua Lounge.”

The party will last for the entirety of our hours this Saturday, from 11:00am-9:00pm, and food will be provided by the Kitchen at Holy City Brewing. All men, women and children are welcome, although we no longer allow dogs, cats, birds, parrots, lizards, or any other type of animal. We will also have a vintage photo booth set up by our photographer, Nickie Stone, where she will be capturing and printing on-demand ambrotype portraits of any and all that desire them. These are sweet black and white photos on clear glass. Music will be provided by The Southern Flavor Bluegrass Band, Lindsay Holler and the Hollerettes and Christiane and the Strays. Any further questions about the event can be directed towards [email protected].

ABOUT HOLY CITY BREWING

In 2011, Joel Carl, Sean Nemitz and Chris Brown partnered with Mac Minaudo to form Holy City Brewing. The Charleston craft beer scene was only a fledgling venture, and they saw this as an opportunity to bring their passion to the open market. The brewery now makes 6,000 barrels of beer per year, and has brewed over 100 different styles and varieties. Holy City Brewing enjoys working with the community, and continuing to make Charleston and its surrounding areas a better place to live. Cheers!
