We spoke with Kit NA Brewing Co-Founder Will Fisher about Get Set Wheat.
Who came up with this beer’s recipe?
Myself and our Head Brewers, Simon Burhoe and Adrian Beck-Oliver.
What’s your favorite aspect of this beer (flavor, aroma, etc.)?
The first sip! The way the aroma leads directly to the flavor and finishes like a traditional beer.
Where does this beer’s name come from?
Our core beers are, On Your Mark, Get Set, and Here We Go. The names represent preparedness and the ability to start (or finish) your day with a great-tasting beer and none of the unwanted side effects.
Is this your “desert island beer?”
Absolutely!
Can you describe this beer in 10 words or less?
Light, citrusy beer with coriander, orange peel and a smooth finish.
Do you know a story – or have a personal story – that revolves around this beer?
One of our brewery's mantras is: "Under Your Own Influence." We craft great-tasting beer without the alcohol that allows our consumers to choose their own path. This "experience" is what myself and fellow co-founder Rob Barrett set out to create in our own lives and was the impetus for Kit NA Brewing.
What's a good food pairing for this beer?
Get Set Wheat is a perfect match for seafood dishes, especially clams, steamed mussels and oysters. This refreshing wheat beer also complements herby cheeses and crackers beautifully. Additionally, it enhances light pasta dishes (without red sauce) and salads. It's an excellent choice for those looking to refresh their palate and enhance the savory, herbaceous flavors of their meal.
