GREENVILLE, SC, USA

It's August and we are thinking that fall and cooler temperatures are
right around the calendar corner. As summer fades away the fruit that
resonates the fall season comes into focus, that being the pumpkin.
Here is the exciting news about Thomas Creek Pumpkin Ale!

HISTORY OF PUMPKIN ALE:

Pumpkin Ale popped up in published materials within the United States as
far back as 1801.  It was noted in early publications as healthful to
the drinker.  Even before that "healthy label" pumpkin was popular due
to economics of supply and demand, in this case the supply side of the
equation. Pumpkins were a native plant to the United States, thus easily
found.  Because of this pumpkins became part of the go-to fall beer
recipe because good malt was in short supply and fermentable sugars had
to be found where they could.  As a result the meat of the pumpkin took
the place of malt completely.

ABOUT THOMAS CREEK PUMPKIN ALE:
Our Brewmaster Tom and Tastemaster Bill consider it the perfect late
summer early fall beer.  It is brewed with pumpkin, clove, cinnamon,
nutmeg, allspice, and other natural spices. These hand-crushed, whole
spices set up an impressive cinnamon, allspice aroma followed by a well
balanced taste while finishing with a clove kick.  The numbers are ABV:
7.3% and IBU: 26.5
