Uinta Brewing Brewmaster Tanael Escartin Talks Trader

We spoke with Uinta Brewing Brewmaster Tanael Escartin about Trader Session IPA.

BC: Where does this beer’s name come from?
No secret sauce to the branding here. Trader was inspired by the origin story of all India Pale Ales — hoppy beers that survived the months-long journey from England to India during the 19th century.

BC: Who came up with this beer’s recipe?
All our beer recipes are the result of an extensive R&D process, where the original idea is pilot-tested and tweaked as many times as needed based on the feedback received. The R&D department also works continuously on improving the quality of the Uinta beers with the main goal of delivering the flavor profile that satisfies the expectations of our customers. The success of Trader has been led by Uinta's brewmasters.

BC: What’s your favorite aspect of this beer (flavor, aroma, etc.)?
I love the tropical and citrusy aroma notes from the hops.

BC: Can you describe this beer in 10 words or less?
Easy-drinking beer with a respectable level of bitterness.

BC: What's a good food pairing for this beer?
Thai Rice Bowl.
