Wild Leap Delivers First Payment To Support Service Industry Workers via Sales of Gratuity Beer

Wild Leap Brew Co. in LaGrange, Georgia has announced the first fundraising payment raised by sales of the brewery's Gratuity lager. The company raised $7,653 for its first payment to service workers during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Full details are below.

The campaign results are in, but the fundraising isn’t over. Wild Leap launched a fundraising initiative on March 26 in support of service industry workers hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Via a GoFundMe campaign, Wild Leap raised $7,635 for nonprofit organization Bottleshare.

“We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished with this campaign. Whether through donating, spreading the word or just rooting for us, we’re thankful for everyone who showed their support!” says CMO and Co-Founder of Wild Leap, Rob Goldstein. “All the money raised has been donated to Bottleshare and allocated to service industry workers in need of support.”

Bottleshare is a nonprofit organization that provides support to craft beverage industry workers and their families during times of adversity. Unified by the love of craft beer and community, Bottleshare Grant Programs offer various forms of assistance for guilds, breweries and individuals in the craft beverage industry facing financial hardship.

Wild Leap worked hand in hand with Bottleshare to create the brewery’s first year-round beer with a philanthropic motive.

“We had two goals with the release of Gratuity Light Beer,” says Chris Elliott, Wild Leap’s Chief Brewing Officer. “One, raise money for service industry workers. Two, introduce a lighter beer to our portfolio at a lower price point for consumer purchase. Times are tough and we want to make the option to drink craft beer more accessible.”

Gratuity Light Beer is a crisp, cold-conditioned craft beer featuring simple ingredients like Pilsen malt, traditional Czech Saaz hops and Wild Leap’s house yeast. For every purchase of Gratuity, Wild Leap donates 10% of profits to nonprofit organizations that help support service industry workers through emergency financial assistance. Wild Leap will continue to give back 10% of Gratuity profits year-round. Gratuity Light Beer is on shelves year-round at your favorite retailers and at the brewery.
