Description

This is the most complex Brown Ale you will ever taste. A tightly beaded foam head provides hints of citrus, clove and coffee. Take a good mouthful, as it settles on your tongue there are distinctive chocolate, coffee and toffee notes. This brown finishes dry but with a warming nut finish. American hops provide a beautiful balance but not so strong to disrupt the joyful complexity of this ale. Don’t let the smooth flavor fool you, this dog bites! The 7.5% ABV give this “Brown Ale Classic” a new twist. This is “must have” for any true craft beer fan.

The American Brown Ale beer style as defined in the 2015 BJCP Style Guide is a malty but hoppy beer frequently with chocolate or caramel flavors. An American style influenced by British Brown Ales but with more hops. The medium to medium-dry finish provides an aftertaste having both malt and hops. Brown IPAs feature higher alcohol, bitterness and hop character than American Brown Ales. Read on to discover our American Brown Ale reviews.
