CBD Oil Guide: How CBD Oil Can Be Used in Different Ways

CBD oil is getting more popular every day. It has become the talk of the town in the wellness world, and people all over the world are in love with its therapeutic benefits. You can choose from many different CBD products like oil, tinctures, gummies, topicals, edibles, beverages and more. CBD oil is a popular choice among CBD enthusiasts. It is versatile and available in different flavors. Do you want to try it for yourself? We are here to guide you about the various usages of CBD oil.

What is oil from CBD?

CBD or cannabidiol comes from cannabis plants. After extracting, a thick and oily paste of CBD is mixed with a carrier oil (like coconut oil or hemp oil). The amount of CBD present in the oil determines the potency of the oil. There are different types of extraction methods available to extract CBD. Like

  • Carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction
  • Natural solvent extraction
  • Cold pressure extraction
  • Solvent CBD extraction
  • Steam distillation

The CO2 extraction method is the most popular and efficient method of CBD extraction. Remember, CBD does not possess any mind-altering effects. So, it won’t make you high or euphoric. The psychoactive effects of marijuana are courtesy of delta-9 THC or tetrahydrocannabinol.

Doctors' Views on CBD: A Glimpse from a Recent Survey

A survey conducted by Maya CBD involving 79 doctors from various specialties has shed light on the medical community's stance on Cannabidiol (CBD). The findings indicate a cautious yet optimistic outlook towards CBD.

Survey Highlights

The survey revealed that over half (51%) of the participating doctors have suggested CBD to their patients, and 65% reported that their patients found CBD products to be effective. A significant 68% of doctors expressed a positive view of CBD as a therapeutic agent, with 80% showing support for its use in pediatric care.

When it comes to specific conditions, a majority of doctors (over 80%) agreed that CBD is effective in managing sleep disorders and anxiety. However, the survey also brought to light concerns about the quality control of CBD products, potential side effects.

Looking ahead, a significant number of doctors foresee a substantial increase in the role of CBD in medical treatments over the next 5-10 years. Despite some reservations, the overall sentiment towards CBD is one of cautious optimism, acknowledging its potential therapeutic benefits while calling for more research and regulation.

Different ways to intake CBD oil:

There are various ways you can intake CBD oil. In every method, the CBD takes effect when it reaches the bloodstream, and every process has different bioavailability (the percentage of active ingredients of the product reaches your bloodstream). Bioavailability is also a crucial factor in determining your dosage. The more bioavailability, the higher the efficiency of the product is. CBD oil is one of the most versatile CBD products, and you can use it in different ways like CBD oil helps to sleep.

Ingested CBD:

You can directly ingest the dosage of CBD oil. You can also mix it with tea, coffee, or food. The CBD will pass through your digestive system and will reach your bloodstream when it metabolizes. So, it can take 30 minutes to 2 hours for the CBD to take effect. The bioavailability of ingestion is 4 - 20%. So, many people prefer to take other CBD edibles like flavored CBD gummies or capsules instead. Mixing the dosage of CBD oil with a beverage or food also solves your issue.
