Maggie's Blackberry Cobbler

Maggie's Blackberry Cobbler Terrapin Beer

Today we cracked open Terrapin Beer Company's most recent entry into its Special Reserve series, which has featured such beauties as Imperial Pumpkin Porter, Moo-HooChiato, and most recently, French Toasted Wake-n-Bake.

Maggie’s Blackberry Cobbler is a riff on the brewery’s summer seasonal, Maggie’s Peach Farmhouse Ale, but with a twist. Instead of a fuzzy dusting of peach flavor, this brew leads with a punchy blackberry flavor backed by malty graham cracker flavors. It also packs a farmhouse wallop at 8.55 percent ABV in contrast to the original Maggie’s lightweight alcohol content (5.3%).

There’s definitely a special downhome charm to this beer, and couched in one of Terrapin’s elegantly designed Special Reserve bottles (with an inviting purple wax seal on top), this brew will have you craving some comfort food to pair it with.
