Leinenkugel's Champions a Shorter Work Day

Leinenkugel Summer Shandy

Leinenkugel's, which has been cranking out shandies far longer than most, is leading the charge for a short work day on Friday, June 17, which is the longest day of the year. The brewery will host more than 1,000 events in bars and restaurants across the country, with the aim of taking people out of the office and into a the gentle grasp of a refreshing ale.

"Research shows people are working longer days than they ever have before. They are missing out on what makes summer so amazing; for us that's sunshine and an ice-cold Summer Shandy," said Dick Leinenkugel, president of the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company. "Fridays are meant for celebrating a great week of hard work and we're thrilled to be the catalyst."
