Shiner Brewery Donates to Houston Storm Relief Efforts

The Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas, craft brewer of the iconic  Shiner Bock, announced today a $100,000 contribution to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in Houston, Texas, following the recent damaging storms.

Tom Fiorenzi, Shiner’s Director of Brewery and Distillery Operations, stated, “We are saddened to see the destruction to the Houston area. The Shiner family feels it is important  to support the American Red Cross’ efforts as they help our Texas neighbors recover.”

In the wake of similar natural disasters, Shiner Beers and its ownership have donated funds to charitable organizations providing relief services in the most affected areas. Shiner has supported similar relief efforts following unforeseen disasters earlier in the wake of the North Texas wildfires this year, after the Southern U.S. and Ohio Valley tornadoes in 2021 and many other natural disasters over the past 20 years.

About Shiner and the Spoetzl Brewery

The Spoetzl Brewery was founded in Shiner, Texas (population 2,069), in 1909, brewing beer with old-world traditions and recipes for the many German and Czech settlers in Central  Texas. Since then, the brewery has grown to be one of the largest independent craft brewers in the country, available in all 50 states and Mexico. But every drop of our award-winning beer is still brewed right where it all started 115 years ago. Visit us at www.shiner.com.
