Steady Hand Beer Co. Debuts Solace Streams Hazy Double IPA

Steady Hand Beer Co. in Atlanta, Georgia has announced the release of a beer that will aid Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, a nonprofit organization that aims to keep Georgia's major river clean. Full details on this hazy brew are below.

ATLANTA - For the month of July, the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and Steady Hand Beer Co. have joined forces along with the rest of the community to give back to Atlanta’s prominent water source – the Chattahoochee River. Without this amazing river, we wouldn’t have the most basic ingredient (water) to bring this hazy double IPA to life. Inspiration for this beer, Solace Streams, runs deep, as founders Brian and Kevin Sullivan are avid lovers of nature and beer alike. In fact inspiration for the name Solace Streams comes from Izaak Walton’s book, The Compleat Angler, a book near and dear to Brewmaster Brian and his love for fly-fishing.

“I, in these flowery meads would be: These crystal streams should solace me; to whose harmonious bubbling noise, I wish my angle would rejoice” (Walton 127).

Solace Streams flows into your pint glass bursting with lemon candy aromas and finishing with refreshing notes of pineapple, stone fruit and juicy citrus. The neon, fish skin design for the 16oz can features the art work of Derek DeYoung and pays homage to the inhabitants of the river for which partial revenues from the beer release will go to help protect. In order to celebrate the harmonious collaboration of cleaner waters and brand new brews, Steady Hand will be hosting Baked Kitchen Food Truck in their taproom Friday July 3rd just in time to kick-off the holiday weekend. Solace Streams will be available in 4 packs and on draft in the west midtown taproom for all to enjoy with limited wholesale available as well.
