StillFire Brewing Celebrates Oktoberfest By Releasing New Beer

StillFire Brewing in Suwanee, Georgia has announced the release of the fifth beer in its Oktoberfest series: a Schwarzbier with Pilsner, Munich and Vienna malts. Full details are below.

Schwarzbier, literally known as Black Beer in Germany, has been brewed in Kulmbach for over 800 years. While dark in color, is not as dark or as overly roasty as a stout.  Instead it dances on the razor’s edge with very nuanced flavors, emphasizing smoothness and drinkability over the more aggressive roasty edge of stout. We decided since we had already brewed three true-to-style German classics, we would get in the holiday spirit and pumpkin up our Schwarzbier. Dark yet fairly clear, our 6.5% ABV Schwarzbier combines light Pilsner, Munich and Vienna maltiness, chocolate notes, and a touch of spicy pumpkin  deliciousness. The original is such a wonderfully drinkable beer, we wanted to enhance the entire experience rather than cover it up. Available this Saturday just in time for Oktoberfest!
