Wynwood Brewing Co. Debuts New Year-Round IPA

Wynwood Brewing Co. in Miami's Wynwood district has announced the release of a new year-round IPA called Laces IPA.

The new hoppy brew will replace Wynwood IPA as the brewery's flagship IPA due to the changing tastes of craft beer fans. Wynwood IPA was a West Coast style ale brewed with Columbus hops and featuring a balanced malt-to-hops. But with hops becoming the number one reason to imbibe a craft beer, Wynwood had to change with the times.

Laces IPA is brewed with Mosaic, Amarillo and Falconer's Flight varietals -- showcasing a fragarant, citrusy bouquet of hop aromas off the top of the glass.

Miami, Fla., June 13, 2018 --  As Wynwood Brewing gets ready to turn five years young this summer, they felt it was time to reformulate their original IPA. Miami’s brewery is excited to introduce its new Laces IPA, a beautifully crafted, 6.9% IPA that offers a blend of Mosaic, Amarillo and Falconers Flight hops with a light golden crisp malt body and a dry finish.

“When our doors opened in 2013, hop contracts and innovative hop varieties were hard to come by so we worked with what we had and created a classic West Coast IPA brewed with Columbus hops and balanced with a full malt body. Wynwood IPA was a solid IPA for the time, but a few things have changed over the past five years. First, we now have access to some amazingly unique and vibrant hop varieties. Second, the IPA has become the most recognizable and diverse beer style offering a virtual smorgasbord of flavor and style options for beer lovers. We have seen in our own taproom and in the market that consumers tastes have evolved. We are excited to debut our newest core offering, Laces IPA, which we’re confident will wrap taste buds in hop delicious.”

The name for Laces IPA was inspired by a quintessential urban phenomenon: the ubiquitous pair of sneakers hanging on power lines by their laces across urban neighborhoods, and Wynwood Art District is no exception.  

Laces IPA will be replacing Wynwood IPA as Wynwood Brewing’s core IPA. this transition will be complete by end of June and beginning of July. The brewery is confident this beer will satisfy the palate and the thirsts of the IPAs enthusiasts.
