Reformation Brewery Debuts New Brut IPA

Reformation Brewery Debuts New Brut IPA

Reformation Brewery in Woodstock, Georgia has announced the release of a new Brut IPA as a part of its Nolan the Wanderer rotating IPA series.

Nolan the Wanderer Adventure 003 is a champagne-style Brut IPA that clocks in at 7.2 percent ABV and is "highly carbonated with notes of melon, pear, and apple followed by a dry champagne finish," according to the brewery.

The full release from Reformation is below.

When and where can I get it?

Available from the brewery starting Friday, Oct. 12, look for our most recent release, a champagne-style Brut IPA in draft and 12oz cans at independent retailers near you.

I can’t find Nolan, can you help?

The best way to find your favorite Reformation beer near you is to ask your local retailer to place an order! We also recommend Untappd, which has a handy app-based mobile beer finder.

What’s this 003?

Adventure #003 is the third release for 2018 in our rotating IPA series, Nolan The Wanderer. This version is our take on a Brut IPA, an emerging style of India Pale Ale inspired by the champagne it’s named after. This highly carbonated beer has notes of melon, pear, and apple followed by a dry champagne finish at 7.2% ABV. Check the bottom of the can, or look for a sticker on the top of each 6-pack for the current adventure.

I love the current Nolan. Will it come back?

This beer will always be on new IPA adventures with each release. But we are considering bringing back successful paths as seasonals in years to come.

What is a Rotating IPA?

While alcohol content will remain fixed, Nolan will have a unique malt, hop, and process with each release -- rotating through styles, stories, and techniques that make the IPA such a compelling and diverse style. The landscape of beer is continually evolving, and Nolan The Wanderer is focused on being responsive to that journey.

Why Wander North Georgia?

The beer is a special collaboration between Reformation Brewery and Wander North Georgia. Their story and ours have a lot in common. We have a shared love for North Georgia, as a place we live, work, and play. And we both seek to have a lasting value to the surrounding community that goes well beyond our day to day business. A co-branded beer is just the beginning of bringing our community a taste of that very real commitment. We're excited to have their authentic, wandering spirit along for this journey and we hope this collaboration inspires people to get outside and celebrate these good gifts.

Where does the name come from?

The name Nolan been a personal favorite of ours for a long time. While some of our names are inspired by real-life characters, we strive to build values and vision around these characters and let the consumer build their own stories.

Nolan The Wanderer is on a mission to reform expectations around all the ways you can define an IPA. The first reformer of his kind, he has grown to accept the title of The Wanderer because he truly believes “not all who wander are lost.”

What’s next for Nolan?

Our experimentation with the Wanderer series is ongoing. You can visit the brewery for in-house R&D every week. Come give them a taste and let us know what you think!
