Coronado Unveils San Diego Beer Week Schedule and New Beer Release

Coronado Brewing Co. in Coronado, California has announced its San Diego Beer Week schedule ahead of the famed week-long celebration of all things craft beer in San Diego.

The brewery has also announced a new beer, which will release ahead of the Beer Week. Tecolote Kriek is a classic Fruit Lambic inspired by the authentic Belgian beer style.

The full release from Coronado is below.

The wait is over…San Diego Beer Week is here! This year we have three exciting events planned at the Bay Park tasting room. Fans can look forward to returning events like BYOBib Seafood Boil and Milled Chilled & Jelly Filled Beer & Donut Pairing, as well as a NEW Brewhouse Brunch event and a cellar sale all week long! You'll also have plenty of opportunities to get our beers around town. Check out this week's blog post for a comprehensive listing of all our Beer Week festivities.

Our second-ever sour is debuting at our Milled Chilled & Jelly Filled donut pairing event on Saturday! Swing by the tasting room for the event, and then take a bottle to go!

Tasting Notes:

Tecolote Kriek is our interpretation of a traditional sour cherry lambic. Named for the Tecolote creek that runs behind our brewery, this red-hued sour ale spent 10 months aging in oak barrels before we blended in tart Montmorency cherries from Michigan. Enjoy now, or savor for years to come.
