1677 is when the word "stout" was first recorded to describe a style of beer. Ireland became known for the standard stout, later coined dry stout or Irish stout, which features a drier taste than English or American sweet stouts. This dry Irish stout is roasty and toasty with a silky smooth, creamy finish. True to style, it finishes clean and dry, easy enough to drink year-round, but complex enough to keep your taste buds captivated.
