Where's Bonnie? Belgian Witbier by Flying Lion Brewing is a Witbier and is being evaluated as a Witbier (category 24A from the 2021 BJCP Beer Style Guidelines). Witbiers are Belgian wheat beers that are typically spiced with coriander and orange peel. Witbier is a refreshing style noted for its citrus and floral coriander flavors. Where’s Bonnie? is brewed with coriander and Curaçao orange peel.

Where’s Bonnie pours very light golden in color, has a slight haze and sports a small white head. The aroma is moderate citrusy and floral coriander with light peppery phenolic notes. The flavor is citrusy and herbal coriander with light wheat and peppery phenolic notes. The beer finishes lightly bitter with dry, lingering peppery phenolics.

Where’s Bonnie? is a solid Witbier. The coriander aromatics are fantastic in the aroma but do not come through so vibrantly in the flavor or the finish. The peppery phenolics provide excellent contrast to the floral coriander notes.
