Samuel Adams Wicked Easy by The Boston Beer Co. This beer pours straw gold with medium hazy clarity. A bountiful lathery white head of tiny bubbles is sustained throughout the whole beer and leaves a beautiful lacing on the glass as the beer is consumed. Overall, this beer has a muted aroma though, the dominant aroma is a very light undertone of herbal and slightly spicy dry hop character.  A very subtle graininess becomes slightly apparent as the beer warms along with very subtle general citrus profile in the aroma. This beer has a very clean fermentation profile expected of a lager. On the sip, moderately low hop bitterness is quickly followed by a minty and herbal hop flavor. A low, clean malt sweetness carries with the hop bitterness and this beer is evenly balanced between the hop and the malt. There is no fermentation characteristics and this beer is extremely clean. The finish is slightly dry and the aftertaste consists of a pleasant bitterness, touch of sweetness, lingering minty note and a very slight graininess and general citrus, which eventually manifests. This beer has a thin body, but is enhanced by a moderate (almost moderate-high) prickly carbonation, which lends to a slight creaminess in this beer.  Overall, this is a an extremely satisfying and easy-drinking lager that hits the mark the brewer was shooting for. Before sitting down to review this beer, I just completed a few-mile run and this beer was absolutely what I needed; though not heavy on intensity in the aroma or flavor, it had enough character to keep itself interesting. This beer was quenching and really hit the spot.
