The American IPA BJCP category 21A poured a very light straw color, almost a blonde in some respects. Very good clarity and a light carbonation ringed the side of the glass. The aroma of this beer had hints of pineapple, pine and very little malt. The flavor, however, had an overwhelming taste of pine resin, passion fruit and pineapple - very nice rounded flavors that also balanced well with the malt. The flavor was very smooth and the alcohol is there with this beer at 7.5 ABV. The mouthfeel was both medium and the carbonation level was okay. A very nicely made IPA that had the requisite attributes of the style.
