This beer is reviewed as a BJCP 28B (Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer). This beer captures an interesting Brett at an interesting stage and its worth buying a bottle to participate in the event. Wet leather, light fruit, light cigar box, old basement, traces of balsamic, and a hint of butter aromas drift from the glass. This hazy gold beer talks to you with a lively effervescence crackling as cascades of bubbles rush to the surface. The brewer coaxes an array of fruit flavors from the Brett offering up pineapple, some hard candy, hints of melon and peach, grape, tropical fruit and a hint of vegetable spread like funky marmalade over a crispy shortbread biscuit malt flavors. Sweet and tart are well balanced. The blonde ale base allows the Brett flavors to really shine. Each drink brings out a different array of fruit flavors mixed with mild funk having you yearning for a larger bottle to make sure you do not miss anything.
