Magic Hat Brewing Co. Debuts Bartlett Bay Margarita Gose

Magic Hat Brewing Co. in South Burlington, Vermont has announced the release of a new limited-batch summer seasonal called Bartlett Bay Margarita Gose. Full details are below.

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Magic Hat Brewing Company has released a new, limited batch summer quencher to ensure that no palate goes dry during the sun’s searing reign. Bartlett Bay is a margarita gose that welcomes overheated beer lovers “into the bay” for a quick cool-off.

Tropical Escape-in-a-Can

After many months of toiling with different ingredients and flavor profiles, Magic Hat’s magnificent brewers nailed down the perfect potion for summer refreshment. Like the perfect margarita, Bartlett Bay is made with orange, lime, and salt, balancing the sweet with the sour to create a fiesta of flavors. Smooth and tart, thanks to a malt bill that includes wheat and acidulated malt, Bartlett Bay weighs in at 3.0% ABV, sports 8g of carbs and a respectably sexy 99 calories.

Bartlett Bay is named for the bay that isn’t there, and maybe never was. This beer is brewed to serve as a reminder that refreshment is a state of mind – you will find yourself basking in a land of tropical revelry at first sip.

Clown Shoes Unveils Rainbows Are Real Hazy IPA Brewed with Terpenes

Clown Shoes Unveils Rainbows Are Real Hazy IPA Brewed with Terpenes

Clown Shoes in Boston, Massachusetts has announced the release of a new hazy IPA called Rainbows are Real, which is brewed with terpenes. Terpenes are aromatic oils that are found in natural botanical sources including cannabis and hops. They are said to have therapeutic benefits. Full details from Clown Shoes are below.

BOSTON – Few things create wonder like a giant rainbow, but the latest beer from Clown Shoes comes close. Clown Shoes announced today its first-ever beer made with terpene additions, Rainbows Are Real. Terpenes are aromatic oils that are found in natural botanical sources including cannabis and hops. They are said to have therapeutic benefits.

When asked why he wanted to brew a beer with Terpenes, Dan Lipke, Head Brewer at Clown Shoes, said, “Because of how much they interested me. The idea of enhancing aroma and boosting flavors is exciting. When you add in the potential health benefits, it really made me want to take on a project like this.”

Rainbows Are Real, a vibrant IPA, is hazy and brewed with the terpenes Linalool and Beta-Pinene.  The terpenes enhance floral and pine notes and supplement sweet, citrusy hops. The aromatic compounds, derived from natural botanical sources, are used to elevate the beer’s aroma. In this case, their floral and piney flavors supplement the sweet malt backbone and juicy mix of Azacca, Citra, and Mosaic hops.  This allows Rainbows are Real to shine in a new way.

Upper Hand Brewery Unveils Six Beers in Delta Series

Upper Hand Brewery Unveils Six Beers in Delta Series

Upper Hand Brewery in Escanaba, Michigan has announced the release of a new series called the Delta Series, which will feature six beers inspired by local history. Full details are below.

ESCANABA, Mich. – Upper Hand Brewery is proud to announce the upcoming release of its Delta Series, six beers inspired by the historical Delta Brewing Company.

The beers, which will be available in cans and on draft, are based on real brands and styles brewed by Delta Brewing Company in the City of Escanaba between 1933 and 1940.  The cans feature artistic elements from the original beer labels and descriptions based on newspaper advertisements found in the archives of the Delta County Historical Society.

“We have been inspired by the rich history of brewing in Escanaba since we opened Upper Hand in 2014,” said Upper Hand Brewery Director, Sam Reese.  “These Delta Brewing brands really captured a time and place that isn’t altogether unfamiliar today, and in a lot of ways, they accomplished what we have always tried to do from our onset, which is to establish the U.P. as an iconic place to both brew and enjoy great beer.”

“After digging through the archives at the Delta County Historical Society, we saw an opportunity to resurrect some of these prohibition-era styles and present them to a new audience of beer lovers using some old-world ingredients and methods we don’t usually explore.”
