Highland Brewing Co. in Asheville, North Carolina has announced the release of Slow Crush Tart Spritz Ale.

The beer is inspired by the famed cocktail aperol spritz, and features natural ingredients that mirror the Italian drink – botanicals like gentian root, cinchona bark and hibiscus flowers. 

Beyond that, the beer features Citra and Amarillo hops to give the drink a crafty spin.

The regional brewery is celebrating their 25^th anniversary milestone with innovation, as evidenced by the release of this refreshing tart spritz ale, unlike any other in Highland’s year-round portfolio. Slow Crush is the brewery’s sessionable fresh take on kettle soured beers and their first to launch in a 16ounce can format. 

The Boston Beer Co. in Boston, Massachusetts has announced that its new imprint Marathon Brewing has released the brewery's first beer that's focused on craft beer fans with an active lifestyle.

26.2 Brew was developed in collaboration with Shelley Smith, a brewer, marathon runner and triathlete with the idea of crafting a beer that provides "purpose and balance for drinkers seeking more," according to a release from the brewery.

“As someone who loves beer and running, having the opportunity to brew a beer that helps runners celebrate their hard work was a passion project for me,” says Smith, Advanced Cicerone and Manager of Research & Product Innovation at The Boston Beer Company, in a release. “Understanding what is important to runners is what made brewing this beer different from what is currently available. While most brewers are stripping flavor to hit a certain calorie mark, we focused on brewing a beer that not only fit what runners were looking for, but also delivered a great taste.”

Cape May Brewing Co. in Cape May, New Jersey has announced a beer brewed in honor of International Women's Day and 2019 Pink Boots Brew Day.

The beer, cleverly titled Maybe She's Brewed With It, is a fruited kettle sour beer that clocks in at 5.4 percent ABV and is brewed with cherry and mango additions.

Fulton Brewing in Minneapolis, Minnesota has announced that its popular year-round beer Lonely Blonde will now be available as an in-flight on Sun Country Airlines flights.

Reformation Brewery in Woodstock, Georgia has announced a new collaboration beer called The Loud.

The beer is brewed with Jennifer Smoot of the upcoming Smooty Brewing Co. The two parties joined forces in honor of 2019 Pink Boots Brew Day, which supports women in the brewery industry.

ATLANTA, GA - This March, breweries from around the globe are pouring up support for women in the brewing industry. And on Friday, March 8th, Woodstock’s Reformation Brewery taps into a collaborative brew made with help from former intern and recent Auburn University Brewing Science Program graduate, Jennifer Smoot.

Nicknamed “The Loud Peach,” the draft only limited release is Jennifer’s first recipe. “I am so excited to have been asked by my good friends at Reformation Brewery to collaborate on a Pink Boots brew to be released on International Women’s Day,” Smoot said. “For my first recipe, I chose a saison, which is a lovely style to usher in the spring season, and the peaches are a nod to the great state of Georgia, where I plan to open my brewery in the near future.”
