DC Brau in Washington DC has announced that Joint Resolution, a hazy IPA, will replace Citizen Belgian-Style Ale in the brewery's year-round collection of brews.

Washington, DC -- February 2019 -- DC Brau is amending its current flagship line-up with Joint Resolution, a new Hazy IPA, which will replace its award-winning Citizen Belgian-style Ale this March. Fans of the golden domed can will see the beer return as a seasonal offering, scheduled for early Fall 2020.

“We’ve seen a significant shift in the palates of our consumer over the past eight years, and feel like it’s a good time to freshen up our core, year-round offerings with a Hazy IPA,” says CEO & co-founder of DC Brau Brandon Skall. “The Citizen remains a favorite style of ours, and we look forward to bringing it back as a seasonal just in time for what will surely be an interesting election season.”

Joint Resolution is a Hazy India Pale Ale with a drinkable 5.5% ABV and approachable level of bitterness incorporating Canadian Pale 2-row, White Wheat, Flaked Oats, Carafoam and Acidulated malts, and a mix of hops including Michigan Copper and Chinook varieties among others.

Starr Hill Brewery Announces New Location in Richmond, Virginia

Starr Hill Brewery has announced the opening of a new location in the summer of 2019. Called the Starr Hill Beer Hall & Rooftop, the new venue will "showcase a broad selection of beer styles with a unique entertainment space in the Scott’s Addition Historic District," according to a release from the brewery.

The 4,500-sq. ft. brewery and taproom opens up to a 1,000-sq. ft. deck and a 3,000-sq. ft. rooftop bar, and the new location will serve all Starr Hill year-round and seasonal brews as well as limited-release beers brewed on-site at the brewery's pilot system.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – (February 6, 2019) Starr Hill Brewery is thrilled to announce the opening of its brand new Starr Hill Beer Hall & Rooftop in Richmond, Virginia. Scheduled to open in Summer 2019, Starr Hill’s newest location will serve as a venue to showcase a broad selection of beer styles with a unique entertainment space in the Scott’s Addition Historic District.

Located at 3406 West Leigh Street, the Beer Hall will feature a custom 10-barrel brewing system, in addition to five American white oak foeders, thus serving as the brewery’s first location dedicated to producing wild ales. Following the success of their Roanoke location, this pilot system will provide Starr Hill with increased flexibility for brewing upwards of 50 limited release batches of ales, lagers and wild beers each year.

Slam Dunk is an orange creamsicle milkshake IPA that's brewed with fresh orange peel and vanilla. Currant Events is a session sour brewed with black currants.

Goodwood Brewing Co. in Louisville, Kentucky has announced the brewery's new line of spirits.

The first release in Goodwood Spirits is a Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey finished in Goodwood Stout barrels.

"Bourbon has always been an integral part of the Goodwood product line with our barrel aged program" noted CEO Ted Mitzlaff in a release. "We are located in the heart of bourbon Country and understand the tremendous impact barrel finishing has on creating superior taste profiles. We are extremely excited to launch our first of many spirit expressions and believe the consumer will enjoy our Stout Bourbon as much as we do."

LOUISVILLE, KY- In a move toward diversifying its portfolio and reaching spirits consumers, Goodwood Brewing Co announced a foray into the crafts spirits space with the launch of a Premium Bourbon aged in stout barrels.

The 90 proof, small-batch bourbon is the first product to be launched under the Goodwood Spirits line. As with all Goodwood Brewing products, an emphasis was placed on quality and craftsmanship, with months of preparation and experimentation going into the spirit.
