Wild Leap Brew Co. Partners With Taco Mac for Restaurant's 40th Anniversary

Wild Leap Brew Co. in LaGrange, Georgia has announced the release of a new collaboration beer with Taco Mac Restaurants in honor of the chain's 40th anniversary.

The '79 Series, so named for the year that the first Taco Mac location was opened in Atlanta, Georgia, will mark the first-ever beer series that Taco Mac has produced.

“We are calling it the ’79 Series because that’s when the first Taco Mac opened,” said Wild Leap co-founder and CEO Anthony Rodriguez in a press release. “We want to honor that first location in Virginia-Highland and we want to honor the birth of craft beer culture in Atlanta.”

The first beer in the series is Cranberry Cinnamon Ale, a spicy and sweet seasonal brew that will debut on October 15 in all 25 Taco Mac locations. The full release from Wild Leap is below.


Wild Leap and Taco Mac Announce Craft Beer Collaboration  — ’79 Series 

After 39 years as the Southeast’s go-to sports bar and restaurant, Taco Mac is launching their first craft beer series, thanks to the founders of Wild Leap Brew Co. Beginning this fall, Wild Leap will unveil the ’79 Series exclusively for Taco Mac.

A Halloween-themed multi-tap, featuring 8 beers and a menu all with a spooky theme.  Costumes are encouraged, and there will be a costume contest at 3:00, with the winner receiving a raffle basket.

Peticolas Brewing Co. in Dallas, Texas has announced the release of a cask version of its Alfred Brown Ale dosed with the incendiary heat of ghost peppers.

The 5.5 percent ABV English Brown Ale features 25 IBUs and the intense heat from the ghost peppers make this a memorable draft-only excursion.

Uncle Billy's Brewery and Smokehouse in Austin, Texas has announced the release of new sparkling craft cocktails in cans.

These three new releases will be added to Uncle Billy's recently unveiled Uncle Billy's Spirits line, and mark the first time that Uncle Billy's has recently spirits in cans. 

The new releases are as follows:

  • Leslie’s Cucumber Sipper: inspired by Austin’s most famous cross dresser, this isvodka-infused with fresh cucumbers and bubbled up with tonic water.
  • Lady Bird Lemonade: a highly refreshing drink made with vodka blended with scratch-made lemonade and lavender water.
  • Vimosa Uncle Billy’s take on a mimosa made with vodka blended with pineapple juice, orange juice and coconut syrup.

Celis Brewery Unveils New Celis Juicy IPA

Celis Brewery in Austin, Texas has announced the release of a new IPA.

Celis Juicy IPA is a hazy, New England-style IPA that features a juicy, flavorful hop bill dominated by Citra, Azacca, Simoce and Idaho 7 varietals.

Clocking in at 7% ABV with 65 IBUs, Celis Juicy IPA features "strong notes of citrus and tropical fruit aromas and pours hazy pale orange with frothy, paper-white head and a thick lacing throughout. It has frisky yet flirty flavors of guava and papaya, and a smooth classic juicy character that finishes with a refreshing hop bitterness that is floral and lingering," according to a release from Celis.

The beer is available on draft throughout Texas now, and 12-ounce cans will be made available in Austin later this month and throughout Texas in January 2019. The full release from Celis is below.
