Baxter Brewing Co. Debuts Two New Brews

Baxter Brewing Co. in Lewiston, Maine has announced the release of two new beers.

Pinot Brune is the second beer in the brewery's Innovation Series and serves as the brewery's take on a hybrid Flanders Red/Oud Bruin beer featuring pinot noir grapes, blackcurrants and cherries. Pinot Brune will be available at the end of September wherever Baxter brews are sold.

The next new beer is MHT India Pale Lager, which was brewed in order to bring attention to the state's Maine Huts & Trails project. A portion of proceeds from all sales of this beer will go to the MHT project. MHT IPL is available now across Baxter's distribution footprint.

The full release on both beers from the brewery is below.

Fulton Brewing Rolls Out Limited-Release Specter IPA

Fulton Brewing Rolls Out Limited-Release Specter IPA

Fulton Brewing Rolls Out Limited-Release Specter IPA

Fulton Brewing in Minneapolis, Minnesota has announced the release of a new limited-edition hazy IPA called Specter.

A smooth-drinking 7.1-percent ABV brew with a low IBU load of 35, Specter is an exemplar of the popular hazy IPA style.

The beer is available now on draft and in cans in limited quantities wherever Fulton beers can be found.

The full details of the beer from Fulton are below.

IT'S THERE AND THEN IT'S NOT.

Specter, our NE Style IPA has a number of very distinct traits that separate it from the rest of our IPAs. It’s smooth, creamy mouthfeel and it's hazy appearance are by-products of a number of ingredients and process. We used nearly 20% oats in the mash, a chloride-heavy water chemistry, and low flocculating yeast. We aggressively hopped Specter with late boil and whirlpool additions, leaving it with little perceived lingering bitterness, but rather a tropical and juicy finish. If that wasn't enough, we dry-hopped this beer twice with Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo, and Nelson Sauvin to add aromas of citrus and stone fruits.

Specter is a distinct and deliberate departure from the high-clarification common in most of Fulton’s lineup. But don’t let that fool you, this is Fulton…NE (MPLS) style.
