Wallonia Wit boasts complex and unique flavors from the various types of wheat and barley that make up its grain bill in addition to the traditionally added orange peel, coriander, and other spices. The beer comes in at 5.4% ABV and 22 IBUS for a balanced, citrus, low-bitter taste. Hops are Waimea and Citra. “The Wallonia Wit has been around since we first opened. City Built Brewing Co. Announces Fibonacci-Inspired Stout Series

City Built Brewing Co. Announces Fibonacci-Inspired Stout Series

City Built Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids, Michigan has announced upcoming beers in a new stout series that's inspired by the Fibonacci Sequence. More details on the beer are below.

Grand Rapids, Mich. -- The Fibonacci Sequence is a simple equation—the next number in the series is found by adding the two numbers before it—but strangely, from the lowliest acorn to the arms of the Milky Way galaxy, the sequence reveals itself throughout all of nature’s design.

It is also the inspiration for a new series of pastry stouts from Grand Rapids’s City Built Brewing Company, the first of which will be released Feb. 22.

When City Built Brewing Company came up with an idea to test the effects of the sequence on beer, divine providence would show how the sequence applied. Adjusting the boil times from three hours to five hours, to 13 hours and finally 21 hours produced interesting results on each stout.

The first beer in The Fibonacci Sequence, 3 Hour Stout, is a 10.5% ABV imperial stout. It will be available on draft and in cans at $20 per four pack starting Feb. 22. Smooth as velvet, with notes of caramel and coffee, the base stout is perfect without adjuncts involved.

Product Review: Wolfpoint Fort Dearborn Collection Watch

Product Review: Wolfpoint Fort Dearborn Collection Watch

The right watch for men will make a statement and the wrong watch will be an off-note distraction. This limited-edition Fort Dearborn Watch by Wolfpoint in Chicago is “the right watch.”

Product Review: Wolfpoint Fort Dearborn Collection Watch

There are few accessories that can speak volumes the way a watch can. Notably, for men a fine watch conveys confidence, style and stature. The right watch will make a statement and the wrong watch will be an off-note distraction. This limited-edition Fort Dearborn Watch by Wolfpoint in Chicago is “the right watch.”

Wolfpoint is a newer watch company from Chicago that delivers quality timepieces for less than $200. The company launched in March 2018 with a welcoming direct-to-consumer sales model, making affordability a pillar of its foundation. As a company named for the famous confluence of three branches of the Chicago River (North, South and Main), Wolfpoint delivers exquisite timepieces that stand up to daily wear, pay homage to the rich history of industry work in the Windy City, and hit the sweet spot between style and versatility. To further express this confluence in literal and figurative terms, Wolfpoint uses a “Y” logo on each watch crown.

Wolfpoint’s founder is a fourth-generation watchmaker whose grandfather worked as a watch assembler in Geneva, Switzerland in the 1960s. Over the generations, the family has operated a boutique hand-assembled watch manufacturer in Asia and, through that, built lasting relationships with vendors they most trust.
