New Film About Greg Koch of Stone Brewing "The Beer Jesus From America" Has First Screening

Greg Koch of Stone Brewing Co. is one of the most recognizable figures in the craft beer scene.

Beyond just his mammoth brewer's beard, Koch has long been an evangelist for the joys of craft beer, and that evangelism has led to a film being made about him taking Stone's hoppy, in-your-face beers over to the much more limiting, Reinheitsgebot-limited beers in Germany.

A new film called "The Beer Jesus From America" has been made about Koch's quest to take Stone to Germany.

The first screening of the film will take place at the Richmond International Film & Music Festival.

The full release from Stone is below.

Building an independent American craft brewery... in Germany. How tough could that be?

Follow the story of an entrepreneur’s dream for Stone to become the first independent American craft brewer to build, own and operate a brewery in Europe... in Berlin, Germany no less. Join Stone Brewing co-founder Greg Koch and documentary filmmaker Matt Sweetwood for the showing as well as a Q&A session following the film.

Monday Night Brewing's Space Lettuce Double IPA Returns

Monday Night Brewing in Atlanta, Georgia will re-release its popular Double IPA, Space Lettuce, this weekend.

Space Lettuce is brewed with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Mandarina Bavaria and Ekuanot hops and is double dry-hopped three times (sextuple-hopped?).

The full release from the brewery is below.

Space Lettuce is one of our most popular black tie releases. And with good reason. This intergalactically hoppy double IPA (4.2/5 on Untappd) is dry-hopped three times with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Mandarina Bavaria and Ekuanot. 2 Row, Carapils, Pilsen, Munich malts give this one a great backbone too. The result is a hugely aromatic beer with cosmic notes of citrus. And at 100 IBU, it doesn't skimp on the classic hop bitterness. You can grab Space Lettuce starting Saturday at our West Midtown brewery.

But wait, there's more!  Reserve your cans today at the link (below), and you will not only be guaranteed your Space Lettuce, you can snag it a day early.

For those who can't make it to our taproom this weekend, we're disappointed, but understand. Space Lettuce will be out in the market next week.
