Brouwerij West in San Pedro, California has announced the release of a new Brut IPA called Science Magic. The recently popularized style is typified by a light hoppiness and an exceedingly dry mouthfeel.

The beer will release from the brewery alongside limited-edition glassware. The full release from Brouwerij West is below.

Our take on the enigmatic style of Brut IPA, Science Magic conjures up bright notes of peach and golden pineapple through the use of Citra, Motueka and Centennial hops. While Mecca Grade Estate malt and raw spelt provide a soft, full-bodied mouthfeel leading to the iconic dry and effervescent Brut IPA finish. 

Cape May Brewing Co. in Cape May, New Jersey has announced the release of two barrel-aged variants of the brewery's Imperial Stout Winter Seasonal Boughs of Barley.

The Imperial Stout was aged one year in both scotch whiskey barrels and cognac barrels for tremendous complexity and an inviting booziness.

“It's definitely peaty -- or smokey -- and that is the dominant characteristic out of the gate,” Head Brewer Brian Hink said in a statement. “The underlying stout body and character are present and are big enough to withstand the barrage from the barrel's character. The resulting beer is very intense.”

Cape May, NJ -- To ring in the Christmas season, Cape May Brewing Company is pleased to announce 2018’s iteration of their holiday brew, Boughs of Barley. An Imperial stout barrel-aged in Scotch whisky and second-use Cognac barrels, this limited-edition brew is available now at their Brewtique at 1288 Hornet Road in the Cape May Airport and at selected retailers throughout New Jersey and the Philadelphia area.

Wilmington, North Carolina, which is home to 17 local breweries, took a direct hit from Hurricane Florence in September and is just now recovering from the turmoil.

However, with the holiday season swiftly approaching, the city's Wilmington Ale Trail wants to extend an invitation to any thirsty travelers looking for great beer.

Wilmington Ale Trail recently released a video to its social media accounts, inviting tourists to come stay in Wilmington and imbibe the city's delectable brews and inviting atmosphere.

The release from Wilmington Ale Trail says the following: "In September, Wilmington, NC, took a direct hit from Hurricane Florence. Many of our friends, colleagues, and businesses suffered devastating personal and financial losses. As we continue to recover know that our local beer culture is alive and well. All 17 of our local breweries are up and running so join us for a beer!"
