Alaskan Brewing Co. in Juneau, Alaska has announced the 30th iteration of its popular Rauchbier, Smoked Porter.

To honor the 30th anniversary of this iconic brew, the brewery is opening up its expanded taproom this weekend while also pouring some limited-edition flights of the beer with various vintages in vertical tastings.

“This beer has been a huge part of our history and has been recognized with 21 awards from the Great American Beer Festival alone, more than any other beer," said Andy Kline, Communications Manager for Alaskan in a release.

JUNEAU, Alaska – Alaskan Brewing will be opening an expanded tasting room this Saturday, Nov. 3 at noon, in a grand opening celebration that will also mark the 30^th anniversary of one of its most renowned beers, Smoked Porter. The newly renovated space is part of the brewery’s expansion in a newly-acquired building on Commercial Boulevard in Juneau, part of its Lemon Creek brewing and tasting room facility.

After a survey of 30 of the largest alcohol brands in the world, Sportcal, part of the GlobalData group, has found that the brands spend a combined $764.5 million per year on sports sponsorship -- representing 28 active deals.

According to a release from Sportcal, the "report, ‘Sponsorship Sector Report: Alcoholic Beverages, 2018’,analyses the activity of 30 of the biggest alcoholic beverage brands to track the latest trends and forecast where this may lead to in future. The report reveals that the top 10 biggest alcohol beverage brand spenders account for 55.5 % of the 281 active deals and 87.6 % of the estimated $764.5m annual sports sponsorship spend."
