StillFire Launches Blue Bandito Mexican Lager

StillFire Brewing in Suwanee, Georgia has announced the release of its newest beer: Blue Bandito Mexican Lager. This easy-drinking lager featuring an interesting addition: blue corn! Full details are below.

There is a long history of European craftsmen moving to Mexico, including brewers who originally made amber lagers when they arrived. Rather than travel a well-worn path, the brewers of StillFire decided to make a smooth amber lager that features the toasty Munich malt flavor those pioneers treasured, but we added our own special ingredient: Blue Corn. That little touch is what makes this beer a unique summer treat, perfect on a hot summer day while hitting the snacks.  Blue Bandito is our Cerveza Azul for all seasons! 5.3% ABV. On tap starting FRIDAY!

Surreal Brewing Co. Debuts Creatives IPA Brewed with Kveik Yeast

Surreal Brewing Co. in Campbell, California has added a new non-alcoholic brew to its portfolio, this one brewed with Kveik yeast, called Creatives IPA. Full details are below.

CAMPBELL, CALIF - Surreal Brewing Company adds a new thirst-quenching non-alcoholic beer to its lineup! Introducing “Creatives IPA”, an unconventional beverage of tropical aromas and flavors punctuated by a restrained piney West Coast hop finish. One of the latest additions to its growing line of all-natural, innovative, health-conscious craft beers, Creatives IPA was brewed with the ancient Norwegian Kveik yeast strain and a new variety of hop. “We were intrigued by Kveik yeast as soon as we heard of it a couple of years ago. We have a deep appreciation for every ingredient we use, especially the yeast, which as the old axiom goes: the brewer makes the wort and the yeast makes the beer,“ said Tammer Zein-El-Abedein.

As in all its carefully crafted brews, the new beer consists of a complex blend that captivates a growing number of craft beer enthusiasts as well as those who drink non-alcoholic beverages.

Cape May Brewing Co. and DC Brau Announce Return of Collaboration Beer Rosé du Gosé

Cape May Brewing Co. in Cape May, New Jersey has announced the return of its popular collaboration beer with DC Brau in Washington DC: Rosé du Gosé. Full details on this release are below.

Cape May, NJ -- Cape May Brewing Company is pleased to announce the third collaboration with Washington DC-based brewery DC Brau on Rosé du Gosé, a rosé wine-inspired gose with strawberry and peach juices. The result of their first collaboration in 2018, this is the second time DC Brau has brewed Rosé du Gosé and Cape May Brewing Company’s first.

“We loved working with the folks at DC Brau back in 2018,” says Cape May Brewing Company CEO and co-founder Ryan Krill, “so when they asked if we’d mind if they brewed it again -- a classy move, by the way --, we were quick to agree to a second collaboration. They’re great people over at DC Brau. We share the same values, they’re really creative, they’re not too-cool-for-school. They’re like us in a lot of ways.”

There is mutual respect between the two breweries, with Krill and Brandon Skall, the CEO and co-founder of DC Brau, having crossed paths several times throughout the years.

“I have such a fun time with Krill whenever I see him,” Skall says. “Usually, it's at big industry events, but he always brings this big, open-heart feeling of warmth, acceptance, and a little spicy wit. Basically, I just like being around the guy!”

Wild Leap Brew Co. Unveils Three Harvest Double IPA Summer 2020 Version

Wild Leap Brew Co. in LaGrange, Georgia has announced the release of its Three Harvest Double IPA Summer 2020 version. Full details from the brewery are below.

Three Harvest Double IPA is back with a new summer crop of hydroponically grown Cascade hops. In collaboration with hydroponic hop farm Extreme Hops AL, Wild Leap’s Three Harvest Double IPA uses wet hops directly off the hop bines. The summer release of Three Harvest hits shelves today.

Wild Leap stepped into the world of hydroponic hops a little over a year ago when approached by Head Hop Farmer at Extreme Hops AL, Ralf DuToit. “When Ralf approached us with his hop project, asking us to test the first harvest of his hydroponic hops, we couldn’t believe it,” says Wild Leap Co-Founder and CEO, Anthony Rodriguez. “Hydroponic hop farms in the U.S. are far and few between and generally produce a limited amount of hops. After we tested a small batch, we knew this was the start of something truly unique.”

Three Harvest is a well-balanced double IPA brewed with wet, unkilned whole cone Cascade hops. Harvested for immediate introduction into the kettle, the use of traditional Cascade hops gives Three Harvest notes of pine and grapefruit flavors. Thick in body similar to other Wild Leap Double IPAs, Three Harvest clocks in at 8.2% ABV.
