Seedstock Brewery Releases One Year Barrel-Aged Doppelbock

Seedstock Brewery in Denver, Colorado has announced a barrel-aged dopplebock for its first bottle release of 2020. Full details are below.

DENVER — Seedstock Brewery has released its barrel-aged dopplebock for its first bottle release of 2020.

The old-world Denver brewery has released its barrel-aged doppelbock in honor of its fourth anniversary. Seedstock Brewery brewed this beer with friends at Laws Whiskey and Propagate Labs. This beer has been aging quietly in a Laws bourbon barrel for a year. It’s ruby colored with aromatic notes of vanilla, oak and caramel. It is deliciously smooth, with dark fruits (dates, plum and fig) and a subtle finish of warm bourbon notes. The six-month barrel-aged version of this beer was named the third best barrel-aged beer of 2019 by Beer Connoisseur Magazine.

The 22-ounce bomber is available for $28. Those wanting to buy a bottle can stop by the taproom or call ahead for curbside service.

New Holland Spirits RTD Rum Punch Wins Best in Class at American Distilling Institute

New Holland Spirits in Holland, Michigan has announced that its canned RTD Rum Punch won Best in Class from the American Distilling Institute. Full details from the brewery are below.

HOLLAND, Mich. — In 2019, New Holland Spirits made home bartending a cinch when they released their ready-to-drink Rum Punch. Fans immediately took to the delicious blend of Freshwater Rum mixed with passionfruit, orange, pineapple and coconut flavors, and now, after taking home best in class at this year’s American Distillers Institute (ADI) awards, Rum Punch has the accolades to back the hype.

Founder and president Brett Vanderkamp expressed pride in receiving this prestigious award. “Winning Best-In-Class at ADI is an incredible honor and is a testament to the hard work and talent of our distilling team,” Vanderkamp said.

The team’s hard work paid off in other categories too, with a gold medal for their Beer Barrel Bourbon, a silver for the Barrel Aged Knickerbocker Gin and a bronze for Lake Life Vodka. A bronze for their ready-to-drink Blueberry Gin Lemonade also proved that New Holland’s canned cocktail line is no fluke. For brand manager Adam Dickerson, the secrets to their success are quality and inclusivity.

Odell Brewing in Fort Collins, Colorado has announced a $160,000 donation to northern Colorado residents affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Full details are below.

Fort Collins, CO. - Odell Brewing, a regional craft brewery based in Fort Collins, Colorado, has announced it will immediately donate $160,000 to four partner organizations who provide support to Northern Colorado residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The donation comes by way of Odell Brewing’s Growing Fund, managed for the last seven years by The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. Donations will be distributed to four organizations in the amount of $40,000 each. Recipients include Homeward Alliance, Neighbor to Neighbor, Food Bank for Larimer County, and Meals on Wheels.

“We recognize that food assistance and housing instability are two of Larimer County’s greatest needs in this current crisis,” explains Co-Founder Wynne Odell. “With the deep ties these organizations have to our community, we believe the support they provide is vital.”

As an employee-owned company of just over 150 people, community service is an integral part of Odell Brewing’s culture. This donation marks the single largest one time gift in the history of their charitable program.
