Icelandair Airline Introduces New Onboard Beer

Icelandic airline Icelandair has introduced a nifty new way to keep passengers occupied while flying with them.

The airline has unveiled a new Pale Ale called Snæbjört (snie-bioert), which is "inspired by the Icelandic winter light and named after the soft glow of the Icelandic snow," according to a release from the airline.

The beer clocks in at 5 percent ABV and is brewed with Azacca, Mosaic and El Dorado hops. The full release from Icelandair is below.

New Realm Brewing Co. Debuts Oaxaca Choca Imperial Mexican Chocolate Stout

New Realm Brewing Co. in Atlanta, Georgia, which is helmed by former Stone Brewing Co. brewmaster Mitch Steele, has announced the release of a new brew.

Oaxaca Choca, an Imperial Mexican Chocolate Stout, is a roasty, chocolaty brew that's crafted with vanilla, cinnamon, chili peppers and locally sourced cacao nibs.

Upland Brewing Co. in Bloomington, Indiana has unveiled its 2019 beer release calendar.

The brewery unveiled both its regular and sour lineup of beers for the new year, which features returning favorites, new barrel-aged variants and interesting collaborations. The full release and calendars from Upland may be found below.


Bloomington, IN - Upland Brewing Co is pleased to announce another exciting brewery lineup for 2019 featuring fresh packaging formats, new brands, and select fan favorites that are becoming more widely available.

Customers can expect many more can options in 2019 thanks to the recent completion of a canning line, which will allow Upland to improve sustainability efforts, match patrons preferred beer format, and keep favorite brands in stock. This Spring, in addition to previous formats, Wheat Ale and Champagne Velvet will be packaged in 12 packs of 12 oz cans. Joining them in the same format this Fall is Dragonfly IPA, Bad Elmer’s Porter, and Upland Variety Packs.  

Three new beers will debut this year, starting with two in the Side Trail Series: a category dedicated to innovation and currently exploring the juicy and hazy characteristics of NE-style IPAs. The third is a new Winter Seasonal in 6 pack, 12 oz cans that is replacing Latitude Adjustment. The beer style and name will be released later in the year.

Sun King Brewery Debuts Lupulin Astronaut and 2019 Release Calendar

Sun King Brewery in Indianapolis, Indiana has announced the release of a new beer called Lupulin Astronaut as well as the brewery's 2019 release calendar.

Lupulin Astronaut is an American IPA that features a heavy hop bill of Galaxy hops. The beer kicks off the brewery's seasonal releases in 2019, which are detailed in the calendar below.

Fans of our Independent Indiana Beer have been there every step of the way as we continue to grow, and we’ve got a great lineup ahead for you in 2019!

In addition to our year-round core lineup, we’ve got some returning favorites and exciting new beers on the way. As part of our Cheers to 10 Years Celebration, Sun King fans can look forward to our 10-4 Good Buddy collaboration pack this May, and some crowd-favorite beers throughout the year.

Arches Brewing Releases Capitulation IPA and Announces New 2019 Tasting Room Hours

Arches Brewing in Hapeville, Georgia has announced the release of a new taproom-only limited release beer called Capitulation IPA.

The silky, tropical brew is packed with citrus notes and will be available this weekend from the brewery.

Beyond that, the brewery announced extended taproom hours for 2019, starting in early January. The full release from the brewery is below.
