COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. — Perrin Brewing Company announces the release of Michigan’s first craft hard iced tea, Lake Time Hard Iced Tea. Lake Time will be available at the Perrin Pub on draft starting March 12; followed by the distribution of 12-packs of 12 oz. cans Michigan-wide.

Being on Lake Time means freedom from the clock. No agendas, schedules or deadlines – just the water, sun and sky. Made for enjoying after running, hiking, water skiing or lounging on the beach, Lake Time is only 120 calories and 5% ABV. Any time can be Lake Time with Perrin’s Lake Time Hard Iced Tea.

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wisc. – The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company introduces its new trio of beers with a splash of seltzer, Leinenkugel’s Spritzen, available nationwide. Spritzen marks the brewer’s first new national release in three years and will be available in three refreshing flavors: Grapefruit, Raspberry Lemon and Pineapple Strawberry.

Set to appear on shelves this week, Spritzen features a crisp and effervescent beer-forward taste with the clean finish and subtle fruit flavors of a seltzer. The new beers also boast a low 93 calories, less than leading hard seltzers, and no sugar and no artificial ingredients.

“There are plenty of beers on the market and a variety of seltzers entering the category, but nobody is offering the best of both worlds except us,” said Katie Leinenkugel, Leinenkugel’s Brand Strategy and Engagement Lead, and sixth-generation family member. “Spritzen is the refreshing intersection between beer’s timeless taste and the modern rise of seltzers. The Whistler Irish Whiskey, from family owned Boann Distillery in the historic Boyne Valley of Ireland, is now available in the U.S. nationwide.

“At Boann, we pride ourselves in being one of the most innovative whiskey distilleries in Ireland, and in late 2019 our new state-of-the-art facilities and custom copper pot stills produced the first spirit in Drogheda in over 160 years,” said Pat Cooney, Founder of Boann Distillery. “We only use locally grown barley in our whiskeys and have access to the best casks to mature our spirit, ensuring that we produce unique whiskeys in which every bottle tells a story – the story of our land, our people and our family.”

Johnnie Walker Master’s Ruby Reserve is made from some of the finest Scotch in the Johnnie Walker reserves, with Jim personally selecting eight exceptionally rare whiskies that evoke his earliest whisky-making memories to create a unique Scotch that provides a window into his distinguished career.

SAN DIEGO — Lost Cause Meadery, one of the most awarded meaderies in the world in 2019, has announced the opening of its second tasting room and production facility location in the Bay Park neighborhood of San Diego. The new space will open to the public on March 28 and is located at 5328 Banks Street Ste. B, San Diego, CA 92110. Timed with the opening of the second meadery location, Lost Cause is also launching four new meads including “GSB”, a mead made with Grenache grapes, Syrah grapes, blackberries and local buckwheat blossom honey. The new meads will be available on tap and in bottles at the tasting location.

Founded by Billy and Suzanna Beltz in late 2017, Lost Cause Meadery has experienced rapid growth since its opening and is coming off the heels of a year filled with national and international recognition. In March 2019, Lost Cause tied for the most medals overall at the Mazer Cup, the world’s largest mead competition, and later won two gold medals and third best overall at the second largest competition in the country, hosted by the National Honey Board. The awards have helped bring recognition and appreciation for the meadery among the local craft community in San Diego.
