Great South Bay Brewery Debuts Environmentally Friendly Rebrand

Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore, New York has announced a new rebrand that has streamlined the brewery's packaging. Beyond that, the brewery will no longer be bottling beers -- instead focusing on cans and kegs.

The full release from the brewery can be found below.

Great South Bay Brewery (GSB), a local Long Island brewery, today announced a major rebranding to reflect the company’s commitment to reduce their carbon footprint and establish a simple, consistent, can design.

After 10 years of operation, GSB has decided to take their packaging in a different direction without making any changes to the award-winning beer or sacrificing dedication to the craft. Moving away from their classic images and graphics, the company decided to break things down and use a more simple, sleek design while sticking true to their history and brand.  “With all the crazy artwork and busy designs in the brewing industry, we decided to go in a different direction with our rebrand,” Ryan Randazzo, special projects manager, said. “The refined look is easy to spot, and the uniform design makes it distinguishable on the shelf. By putting the beer style in big letters under the beer name we hope consumers will find it easier to effortlessly find the beer that’s right for them, and maybe try something new.”

Motorworks Brewing Debuts Therianthropy American Wild Ale

Motorworks Brewing in Bradenton, Florida has announced the newest beer in the brewery's ongoing American Wild Ale series.

Therianthropy is a soured Scottish Ale that's reminiscent of a Flanders Red using a Golden Promise malt base.

The full release from the brewery is below.

Available Now: Therianthropy, the latest installment in our American Wild Ale sour series.

Tart, nectarous flavors reminiscent of stone fruit—courtesy of our mixed culture—meld wonderfully with this beer's sweet, Golden Promise malt base. The souring bacteria wrought quite the flavorful metamorphosis on our Scottish Ale (the foundation of our Lavender Ale), evoking characteristics not unlike a Flanders Red.

750ml bottles of Therianthropy are $18 and available exclusively in the Taproom.
