Monday Night Debuts Table of Contents Wine Barrel-Aged Table Beer

Monday Night Debuts Table of Contents Wine Barrel-Aged Table Beer

Monday Night Brewing in Atlanta, Georgia has announced the release of a new wine barrel-aged table beer called Table of Contents.

The full release from the brewery is below.

This low ABV (4.5%) table beer really hits a sweet spot for us. Table of Contents is  subtle, nuanced, and approachable for almost every palate. Perfect for sharing during all sorts of meals - from a great steak to Taco Tuesdays.

One of the unique aspects of this table beer is that it’s fermented in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels with multiple different strains of Brettanomyces (otherwise known as “Brett”). “Because of the nature of Brett and the fact we’re using wine barrels, it’s a vintage beer, so there will never be another one like it,” said Brewmaster Peter Kiley.

Despite the low alcohol content, the oaky complexities picked up in the barrel make it “dynamic and complex enough to pair well with food, but it’s also great for middle of the day drinking,” said Kiley.

Back East Brewing Co. in Bloomfield, Connecticut has announced that its popular rotating IPA series Ice Cream Man is back for its next batch.

The delectably hazy IPA last hit the market over two months ago. The full release from the brewery is below.

We hope you can make it this Saturday for our next Ice Cream Man IPA can release.  It is hard to believe, but it has been over two months since our last can release, so we're certainly overdue.

The Green Grunion food truck will be here all day with their delicious San Diego-style burritos and Tino Malone & crew will be performing live on our front patio! The beer starts flowing at noon and we'll be open until 6pm!

To celebrate the passing of the new CT law regarding higher limits on can sales, we'll have a limit of TWO cases of Ice Cream Man IPA for the first 200 people (1 case per person after that).

We also have a great selection of other cans, including recent batches of Intergalactic Lupulinary IPA, Infinite Universe IPA, Rakautra IPA, Tony Goes Dancing #19, and many others.  Like our last few can releases, Ice Cream Man IPA six-packs will be available at our back loading dock starting at noon.

After you grab some cans in back, come up front for a beer, lunch, and some great music.  The weather looks beautiful, the tunes will be rockin', and the beer will be flowin'; so come by and spend some time with us!

Cheers,
The Back East family

Upland Brewing Co. Creates Hoosier Hi-Five with West Fork Whiskey Co.

Upland Brewing Co. in Bloomington, Indiana has announced a partnership with fellow Indiana distillery, West Fork Whiskey Co. in order to craft a new state drink for the Hoosier State.

The Hoosier Hi-Five is a combination of Upland's Champagne Velvet Pilsner and West Fork's Old Hamer Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

According to a release from Upland, "the combination was born out of the frustration that Hoosiers do not have their own spirit and beer pairing like other cities and states – Chicago Handshake (Illinois), CityWide Special (Philadelphia), or the Two-Step (Texas). Not only does this new drink combination team up two historic Indiana brands, but they pair very well together due to their crisp, clean flavor profiles."

The full release from the brewery is below.

West Fork Whiskey Co. and Upland Brewing Company have announced a new drink partnership: the Hoosier Hi-Five.

The Hoosier Hi-Five is a combination of two Indiana heritage brands each with over 100 years of unique history: Old Hamer Straight Bourbon Whiskey resurrected by West Fork Whiskey and Champagne Velvet Pilsner, a legacy honored by Upland Brewing. The companies envision the Hoosier Hi-Five as the new go-to whiskey and beer combo for backyard barbecues, legendary nights with friends and shot and beer pairings at bars and restaurants throughout Indiana.
