Reel Hazy, Crystal Lake Brewing
Description

A healthy dose of oats and wheat malt create a smooth, creamy foundation for this immensely hoppy hazy pale. Tropical fruit and citrus aromas transfer right into the flavor of Reel Hazy delivering an explosion of mango, pineapple, orange and vanilla. Bitterness is very light and adds balance to this crushable lower alcohol hazy beer.

This double IPA starts off strong with a pronounced fruity, hoppy aroma (grapefruit and pineapple) and a beautiful orange color with a generous creamy white head. This early promise is not sustained, however, as both the expected IBUs and substantial maltiness (and strength) expected for the... Read More

This beer poured clear orange with a very thick white nitro-enhanced head. The aroma was full of fruity (pear) esters and hop notes including some initial grassy ones. The intensity of the aromas was a pleasant surprise since some hop-forward nitro beers have their aroma suppressed by a thick... Read More
